📍Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in southwestern Uganda, spanning across the districts of Kanungu, Kabale, and Kisoro.

The park is home to roughly half of the world's remaining mountain gorilla population. The park's terrain is rugged and dense, earning it the name "Impenetrable Forest," and provides a natural habitat for gorillas.

Gorilla trekking requires a permit obtained through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Permits are booked well in advance due to limited availability in the different Trekking sectors of Rushaga, Ruhija, Buhoma and Nkuringo.

Each Gorilla Trekking Costs 800$USD per person per Trek according to the Govement of Uganda under the Ministry of Tourism.
Visitors must trek with experienced guides and trackers provided by UWA.

Each gorilla trekking group is limited to a maximum of 8 people to minimize disturbance to the gorillas. Treks can vary in duration, typically lasting between 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla families.

In addition to regular treks, there's an option for a gorilla habituation experience, allowing longer interaction time with a group of gorillas undergoing Habituation.
