The African Elephant has two confirmed species. The bush elephant Loxodonta Africana and the forest Elephant Loxodonta Lyclotis,both of which exist in Uganda . The forest Elephant is mainly found in kibale National park .
At the moment, the largest population of elephant in Uganda are found in queen elizabeth national park and the other protected areas with elephants are murchison falls national park and kibale National park. Few individuals are found in bwindi impenetrable national park, rwenzori national park,toro semuliki wild reserve ,katonga ,bundongo forest reserve outside murchison falls and more other places.
