Chimpanzee tracking is a process where trekkers search chimps in their habitats. While on , visitors always make chimps their highlight because they are unique endangered species.
Population census of these chimps in kibale national park are over 5000 individuals which a quite big number compared to other parks.
While in Uganda, chimps are also spotted in budongo forest in Murchison falls NP, kalinzu forest and kyambura gorge in Queen Elizabeth Np and Bugoma forest.
Visitors are advised to pack comfortable hiking boots, rain coat, cameras, binoculars, long trousers, water &snacks, long t-shirts, sun glasses, caps and many more.
Visitors are first briefed by rangers from https://ugandawildlife.org before they start an activity for them to know dos and don't of chimpanzee tracking.
