I cannot wait for the day the Government will
be practical in regard to 'kaveera ban'. I
recently learned from the media about the
government's warning of more diseases as
Ugandans continue using kaveeras. Only our hopes of kaveera ban rose did the laxity set
in.
The Ministry of Health, Uganda Cancer
Institute and National Environmental
Management Authority issued a warning,
citing the compounds found in polyethylene bags as cancer causing.
How much have the kaveera manufacturers
invested in their businesses that is more
important than the lives of almost 40 million
people in Uganda and the generations to
come? Does humanity no longer exist! Do
government leaders and workers (U and I)
have any heart for our motherland? Are they
aware of the long-term impact of kaveera
use?
