So beautiful to look at, aren't they? To compliment their dazzling looks is a powerful kick and bite. When threatened, zebras will fight back by biting and kicking their aggressor with their powerful hind legs. Sometimes, these kicks are fatal.

Crocodiles are said to be the most vocal reptiles. Adults may grunt, growl, and hiss. Baby Crocs make little chirping noises similar to laser guns 😅

Kobs and Impalas look similar in appearance but the two antelope species are not related. One of the easiest ways to tell them apart is by looking at their faces, if you notice two white patches around each eye and a bigger white patch on the throat, that is a Kob.

See if you can tell if the antelope in this picture is a Kob or an Impala.

Giraffes and acacia trees(in the background) are kind of like salt and pepper, peanut butter and jam, Tom and Jerry, soap and water, and every other thing that goes together. Although the trees have long thick sharp thorns, giraffes can't get enough of them!
On safari, you will almost always find giraffes near acacia trees.

Chimpanzee families are rather complex. An extended family is usually made up of between 20 - 100 individuals in a fission-fusion society. This means that the groups merge to sleep and perform other communal activities (fusion) or split up into smaller groups to forage (fission).

The best place to see wild chimps is Kibale National Park in Uganda.

White rhinos are the second largest land mammal after the elephant. This species can be found in Uganda at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola district. If you are coming from or heading to Murchison Falls National Park, Rhino trekking is a great addition to your safari adventure.

Someone described elephants as eating machines and manure manufacturers. If you have been on safari before and seen them, you have probably encountered them either eating, producing manure, or both. African elephants in the wild can feed for up to 16 hours a day and consume upwards of 200 kg of food.
