Gorilla Facial Expression 😂🙉

Apes and humans really have a similar resemblance in most behaviors and most especially facial expressions when observed closely and clearly 😂🤣 ( u think so? Or think not?)

Also, apes are very curious in nature and often explore their surroundings and investig*ting who or what gets close them!

Others may include grooming, authority and hierarchy, division of labor in chimps while hunting 😂🤣 among others.

Prehistoric Shoebill

Other than bizarre looks of shoebill, it’s famous for its unique hunting technique where it can stay motionless for hours, when prey is located and locked for striking, it uses its massive shoe like bill to stealthily strike at prey and with its razor sharp curved bill, helps it to grip and hold onto its prey before its swallowed as whole in just a matter of seconds.

Sounds like a movie right? 🤣🤣 yes it is! And a good one for sure!

Adult Male Kobus Kob (Uganda Kob)

What does survival mean in the wilderness? At times fighting for ladies or accidental loss of the a horn can have dire consequences in antelopes. Horns have a crucial role in various aspects of their lives, including defense, dominance, and mating.

When a horn is broken in an antelope, it can have several implications including a loss of life depending on the circumstances available.

Uganda Kob (Kobus Kob)

Very hard to miss in most of the parks especially on your game drive here in Uganda! Only males have the horns and large and muscular, bigger and heavier!

During mating season, males fight for mating rights and often some will loose a horn or mating rights during breeding season!

After nine months a single calf is born and especially at the end or during the rainy season

African Leopard

The lone master of strategy and king of stalking 🐆. Prey never see him/her coming until it’s too late!

While its always a the best of luck to meet an leopard on an African classic safari, carnivore tracking in Uganda guarantees sighting of lions and leopard!

I was lucky to meet this female leopard in Queen Elizabeth National park.

Superb Starling -

Another colorful savanna bird mostly found in northern parts of Uganda which are semi arid, dry or moderately Moist! The same bird can be found almost in all parts of East Africa that have the same vegetation and climate!

Birds of Uganda/Rwanda

Combining these two beautiful birding destinations for either primate tour or classic wildlife is great opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse eco system but even better for the huge number of birds.

All together combined, you have a chance of sighting over 1000 bird species on a 2/3 weeks tour starting in Kigali or Entebbe!

Here is one of the common ware birds always sighted near water birds fishing! Malachite Kingfisher- very small kingfisher brightly colored with orange belly, small visible crest, sometimes confused with African Pygmy Kingfisher but they are slightly bigger when the two are compared.

The African Leopard
(Photographed in Murchison Falls National Park - Uganda)

Leopards are known and famous for their elusive and solitary nature! Very territorial and you might be luckier to find two leopards together only when they are mating or mother and daughter or son.

There is this famous leopard in MFNP that is usually found at this old building near and on several occasions you might bump into it either in the evening or mornings enjoying some sunlight!

World Day

Chimps are big apes that are closely related to humans with about 98.8% DNA. Chimps are famous for using tools & numerous vocalizations while feeding, hunting, mating or while communicating and can widely be found in many parts of the country! (Uganda)

Celebrating the life of our closest relatives, we visit Ngamba island to understand more about this grand conservation project! This projects starts way backi in 1998 and is now a home of 52 chimps! With a land mass of about 95 hectares.

Dr Jane Goodall has been at the fore front of Chimpanze conservation and modern day info since 1960’s

The master of disguise and Ambush🫵

Prehistoric shoebill 🔥❤️

She famous shoebill also known as whale head can stay motionless for about 2-3 hours in same place and in a blink of an eye when prey has been sighted, he strikers in stealth mode and prey is decapitated and swallowed whole.

This massive razor sharp bill is indeed made for the job! You tell when you look into his eyes, he is a beautiful silent born killer. 🔥😁

Only one chick is hatched in a gap of 5 years😳

When you visit Uganda, dont miss this massive beautiful bird. Boats can start from Entebbe to Mabamba wetlands or you can drive to Nakawuka for about 1hour and 30 minutes or cross with Ferry at Nakiwogo landing site and drive for about 30 minutes to get to the wetlands!

Way of the Lion King!

Lions are one of the toughest animals on this unforgiving and cruel planet.

Looking deep into the eyes of this males, there is more to tell than just the hair raising moment when u come face to face with the king of the jungle!

The way of lion is a brutal, resilient and champion like in a thousand ways.

While most lions don’t make it to their first birthdays, those who do face the ultimate challenge especially males when cast out to find their way in life! They have to fight for everything! Take it all and give nothing!! Or loose it all!!

Those who survive this grave lifestyle, will be crown the kings of the African savanna! And live to fight every single day to keep amd protect what they have!

Face off - Hippopotamus

One of the Africas deadliest mammal. The hippo is known to claim many lives on the African continent than lions any other cats. Can move up to 30km/hr speed and able to hold breath under water for over 5minutes. Very territorial and often results in human clash thus the death numbers.

With a strong bite force, big teeth to show off power and might, a hippo is a force to reckon with on the African wild Kingdom hierarchy list. 😄

The sheer size of the hippo make it the second largest mammal on land with over 1000kgs thats thats twice or thrice size of full grown adult male lion😁

I was lucky to find this bull enjoying his day off at the spa.
