his interest in this craft, which traces its beginnings back to the beautifully designed items produced in early Colonial America, continued to grow, as did his desire to learn all aspects of the art of tin and coppersmithing from a master craftman. Tom approached and was granted the opportunity to become an apprentice under the tutelage of a well-known and respected coppersmith with over fifty ye

ars of experience, from whom he learned the tin and coppersmith trade. He began making tin cups and other items for family members. He also tried his hand at Civil War Sutlery, and attended Civil War Reenactments in order to sell an array of tin ware to reenactment participants. He then began to make a variety fo copper lights. At that time his business began taking shape as it now exists. The business specializes in reproductions of city gaslights from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as the design and cration of custom lights styled from photographs or sketches supplied by his customers. All of Tom' s tin and copper items are hand made with antique tools, and whenever possible, vintage glass is utilized in the production of his final heirloom quality products. He takes great pride in the fact that he is continueing a tradition of tin and coppersmithing....an art the will continue to thrive thanks to his creativity and dedication to keeping this disappearing craft alive.
