We are very proud of our Honors student Kenne Kessler, who recently moved to Spain to play professional soccer overseas! After an impressive career as a leader on HSU’s Women’s Soccer team, she signed with the team Villarreal CF, which she considers a dream come true. Kenne is an outstanding example of a student-athlete in the Honors Program who was passionate about and able to achieve success in both her studies and her athletic goals. Congrats Kenne!

Dr. Copeland will be teaching “Hearts and Minds: Integrating Faith and Intellect” Spring 2019, MWF, 10am.
This class will be held in the Olsen House, with coffee and snacks provided! An amazing class and simple way to get your upper level Honors electives, strongly consider taking Hearts and Minds this spring!

This shoutout goes to the Volleyball girls Karlie Knapeck and Hannah Sargent. Hannah is a sophomore Biology Pre-PT Major. Karlie is a sophomore Pre-PT exercise science major. She also is the secretary of the new HSU Faith and Fitness Club, as well as a member of FCA and the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society.

This shoutout goes to the honors soccer girls Josey Myers, Kennedy Kessler, Sarah Krisa, and Ellie Ratliff! Josey, Kennedy, and Sarah are senior co-captains of the HSU girls soccer team. Josey is also a coach for the FC Dallas Juniors Club. Kennedy is a editor of the sports section in the brand and Ellie is a sophomore who also writes for the brand. Go Cowgirls!

Sophomore Rett Dittfurth has found a balance between his football life his education. Majoring in Mathematics, Minoring in Honors, being an RA in the first year men’s Res Hall, and playing as a DB for the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys, Rett has a lot on his plate. Making football plays AND good grades is no easy task, but Rett does it with style and charisma that is impossible to not congratulate.

Sophomore honors student Caroline Beaty has a heart of adventure! She is a Ministry Major here at HSU, along with being the historian of Hunters, Gatherers, and Travelers; a member of the Outdoor Sports Club; and a First Year Mentor of the “Exploring the Worldview of J.R.R. Tolkien” class!
