🔥 A Critical Role in 2022 Wildfire Responses 🔥

In 2022, Abilene Regional Airport (ABI) played a vital role in supporting wildfire response efforts, including during the Mesquite Heat Fire. The airport facilitated air support for firefighting operations involving various aircraft and personnel.

Here's the breakdown of the 2022 response efforts:

67 AA (Air Attack)
57 ASM (Aerial Supervision Module)
53 Infrared
284 LAT (Large Airtanker)
39 Lead (Lead plane)
14 SEAT (Single Engine Airtanker)
Total Responses: 514

These operations, led by Texas A&M Forest Service and other partners, are critical to protecting our community. The Air Tanker Ramp Construction Project will ensure that ABI can continue to support these vital efforts.

3 Easy Steps to TSA PreCheck

What is TSA PreCheck?
