WOW WOW WOW! Look no further; you’ve found your nest!! We booked last minute & everything was perfect. Janice stocked the fridge with a few drinks and a bottle of wine.

Any toiletries you may have left were waiting by the dual vanities. I’m talking q-tips, hair oil, single use facial product samples, a speaker, and a secret stash of supplies you need only to ask.

Responsive is an understatement. The minute you hit send, Janice is typing. She thoughtfully crafted every part of this experience, and we needed nothing, but asking to extend our stay was a breeze.

This. Shower. Is. AWESOME!!! The kitchen has everything you need. The bed is comfy. The workspace is bright and overlooks the gorgeous backyard and the koi pond. Janice’s plant game is on point! The whole property is a little green oasis for pollinators and people alike. Check in is easy and the codes are programmed for you specifically so it’s something easy to remember.

Friends, if you are traveling with your furry family member and would love a pup friendly place to stay, TThe Oasis Abingdonis great! With many dog amenities, a partially fenced half-actre of lawn and gardens. On a hilltop, in-town neighborhood street with deadend, it's perfect for walking your fur baby and letting them get their yayas out!
And, dog parents love it too!

It has been a really exciting week around here! We've been awarded as a Guest Favorite by Airbnb!

And, we have had the best guests and heartfelt reviews since we started Curated Properties in early 2022. We went live late June of 2022 after completing The Nest renovations. It's been exciting finding artisan, locally made products for The Nest Abingdon, The Oasis Abingdon, and our newest unit-The Cozy Oasis!

But for us, the most rewarding part is hearing guests share the personal experiences each has of their stay. Jim and his honey, Charlotte are a great example of why we love creating Distinctive Guest-Stay Experiences for our guests. The words of their Airbnb review truly made us glow. There are so many outdoor (and indoor) activities to do when your stay is based from the_nest_abingdon. Hungry Mother park is beautiful year round, whether on foot, in the car, or on a mountain bike! And now there are new biking trails to check out!

Mountain bikers have a new riding opportunity in Southwest Virginia. Hungry Mother State Park has opened 3 miles of its new Raider’s Run Mountain Bike Trail System. The remaining 2 miles are under construction and will open in the spring of 2025.

One of the reasons we enjoy hosting Short-term rental guests (Airbnb) is sharing the Abingdon area, Town, local products and the people that make being here so special!
We ALWAYS try to source our guest-stay products locally first (and only if possible), and focus on items we use and like. As a former 'Seattlite,' I. Love. COFFEE. Yes, Starbucks is based there, but...the local neighborhood roasters really made amazing coffee and that's who I purchased espresso-based drinks from.
Soooo, Wolf Hills Coffee is who I visit frequently in Abingdon! Helen and Glen Stratakes do an excellent job of roasting and bring so much flavor to the varieties of beans they purchase that, we're, well, hooked!
A coffee addict likes company and we provide our and guests with a healthy portion of WH Coffee 'Nicaraguan' ground beans for their stay in hopes of getting them hooked too! And they can choose brewing by Keurig with reusable pods or the Cuisinart Cone filter, slow drip coffeemaker too! Either way, We Buy Local!!!
