🚢🗺️ We talk a lot about what happens ON the Disney Cruise Line ships, but what about excursions and those ports beyond Castaway Cay? I’ve got a PRO TIP to share: Book excursions through Disney Cruise Line. Here’s why:

If an excursion runs late, the ship will wait for you. This is not the case if you booked privately and there is a delay.

Excursions are vetted for quality and safety. No unpleasant surprises!

Booking is easy and hassle-free. No worrying about multiple vendors or reading all the fine print

📰 You may have come across the story of passengers who missed boarding their ship in Africa. While this unfortunate incident didn't involve a Disney Cruise Line ship, it serves as a reminder of the risks associated with booking excursions independently.

🚢 Recently, one of my clients found themselves in a similar situation. Despite their excursion running an hour behind schedule and the need to tender back to the ship, they had booked through DCL. It was a moment of panic for them, but I was able to provide reassurance that the ship would wait for their return, thanks to their booking with Disney Cruise Line.

🎉🎠🌂🍽️Today’s the day! 1900 Park Fare FINALLY opens its doors again for breakfast and dinner buffets with characters! This immensely popular Grand Floridian Resort & Spa restaurant has been closed for more than 4 years. FOUR! And it’s coming back with a new menu with old favorites (🍓hello Strawberry Soup) and a new lineup of Disney friends to dine with. Greeting you while you dine will be Tiana, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Aladdin at both meals.

Although I had hoped for 1900 Park Fare to return to its pre-closure glory, I'm eagerly anticipating breakfast here to discover the delightful changes that have been made.

💎🚢🍾🎊 We’re only 9 months away from the inaugural sailing of the newest ship in Disney’s fleet, the Disney Treasure. Of course, we have no pictures as it’s not complete yet, but let’s talk about some things we do know:

For all of 2025 (at least) it will be a 7-night sailing departing from Port Canaveral with a choice of Eastern or Western Caribbean itineraries.

It will NOT stop at the newest Disney private island, Lighthouse Point, but will stop at Castaway Cay on both itineraries

It will feature so many details, elements, and themes from the parks and films

Worlds of Marvel and 1923 will join the new Plaza de Coco as the three rotational dining restaurants

🏚️👻🕸🕷🦇 One of the features I'm most excited about on Disney Treasure is The Haunted Mansion Parlor, an immersive bar and lounge experience set to debut. Imagineering has poured their heart and soul into this project for the past four years, aiming to capture the nostalgia and authenticity of the attraction while introducing something fresh and innovative.

🐀🧀 Leave it to Disney to get us all hyped up to celebrate a rat. Of course, I mean Remy from “Ratatouille” and the area of the France pavilion in EPCOT dedicated to the film. This place is not just about the ride, it’s like stepping into a live-action version of the movie! Walking around you’ll spot all sorts of cool nods to the film and oh so many details! And the food? Délicieux! I like to imagine Little Chef in the La Crêperie kitchen whipping up his signature dishes. 🥘

I often emphasize this, but it bears repeating: Remy's Ratatouille Adventure showcases Disney's meticulous attention to detail. Without giving too much away, I urge you to thoroughly observe your surroundings while experiencing Remy. This might require riding more than once, but when you take the time to appreciate the intricate details, you'll be glad you did.

🥾🏰😅 Let’s talk about prepping those feet for the marathon that is Walt Disney World. Trust me, I've trekked the length and breadth of the parks more times than I can count, and I've got the blisters to prove it (or at least, I did until I got smart). Just look at these maps, the parks are massive and you’re going to want to see it all! Here are a few tips to consider:

👟🩴 First, let’s talk about footwear. Those cute sandals? Leave them home. Pack your MVPs of comfort sneakers or walking shoes. You’ll be so glad you did.

🚶‍♀️Disney Training is a thing! Consider taking daily walks to prep those feet for zipping around the parks from dawn to dusk! Don't forget to practice standing too. 😉

💦🧊 I cannot stress this enough, stay hydrated! Did you know that ice water is free at most Quick Service locations?

🛏 Give your feet a chance to rest throughout the day. Take an extra 10 minutes for lunch or have dinner at a table service restaurant.

🧂 Pack Epsom salt and soak your feet at the end of the day. You can also elevate your feet to help with swelling. Moderate and Deluxe resorts have hot tubs which will feel amazing on sore feet but the cooler water at the pool can help with swelling.

✏️ Pack a no. 2 pencil with ridges (if you can find one). Place the pencil under each foot and roll it back and forth. It's a simple solution but is a great help to your feet.

❤️‍🩹 A painful blister or sore feet can put a big damper on your trip. It’s important to me that everyone returns home with only the happiest of memories, so please heed this warning! Sometimes things happen though, moleskin may be your best friend in Disney. Does anyone have any tales of woe about new shoes or underestimating the daily step count?

🎄💚 My all-time favorite Dr. Seuss character is the Grinch! Growing up, I couldn't get enough of his mischievous antics and his journey from a grouchy recluse to a heartwarming symbol of redemption. The Grinch taught me valuable lessons about the true meaning of Christmas and the power of compassion. His transformation from a holiday hater to a festive friend reminds me that even the grumpiest of hearts can be touched by love and kindness. Plus, who can resist that iconic green fur and those mischievous eyes? The Grinch will always have a special place in my heart! 💚

🐣🐰🌷 Happy Easter! Today at Walt Disney World guests can hop over to Magic Kingdom to meet Mr. & Mrs. Bunny, escape the crowds, and head over to the Grand Floridian Resort to enjoy the eggcellent egg display or breeze over to EPCOT and go on an egg hunt! Of course, there will be holiday treats and several restaurants will feature a holiday brunch menu. Just a little (🐰) food for thought for next year if you want to mix it up or start a new tradition.

🌴✈️☕ Happy Saturday! If you’re just hanging out at home this weekend, put down the laundry and take a virtual vacation with me to Disney’s Riviera Resort! 🧜‍♀️🐚🤩 I’ve got to say, while all Disney characters are wonderful at meet-and-greets, Ariel is phenomenal! She somehow makes even the most starstruck fans feel immediately at ease and comfortable. 🧜‍♀️💕 Ariel holds a special place in our hearts! We may have spent more time than we'd care to admit queuing up to meet her at her Grotto, but every moment was worth it. Ariel's warmth and charm make each interaction unforgettable. I'd happily wait in line again just for the nostalgic joy of it all! 🐚🌺
