Onto Canaan Valley, and to Dolly Sods which has areas that resemble a Alaska like landscape. Miles and miles of trails that lead to waterfalls and overlooks, Lions Head overlook among the most scenic and Bear Rocks at Dolly Sods....On to Seneca Rocks, a 1000 Cliff that often has numerous rock climbers testing their skills...with a comfortable walking trail that leads near the top that offers a spectacular view of the valley below and mountains to the west and east. To the east stands North Fork Mountain, with possibly the best views in the entire region...Further south is Spruce K**b, at 4860' the highest point in the Alleghenies, it offers a climate that's much cooler than the valley below and plant life resembles regions much further north. Further south is Gaudineer K**b, with a beautiful overlook and a stand of virgin Red Spruce forest...to the east of Spruce k**b you have Spruce K**b lake and the sinks of Gandy..to the west and very secluded is the High Falls of the Cheat..further south is Bald K**b which is attainable by Cass Railroad.....further west is Snowshoe resort , south of there along Highland Scenic Highway, filled with many trails{Red spruce k**b trail, etc} and many pulloff overlooks....at the south end you have Cranberry Glades, a rare cold pocket similar to Cranesvlle Swamp, just south of there is Falls of Hills creek...a gorge with 3 separate waterfalls.....
