This is how it looks today! The daffodils are blooming all along the new road to the cabin! I will show more pictures later.

Spring has Arrived! In the fall my granddaughter planted the many tulip and daffodil bulbs I bought! They are growing, and hopefully will be blooming soon! They were planted along the new road through the woods to Country Acres Retreat! The new numbers now is 510 Foxtown Road, Accident, MD 21520.
When the " stay at home ban" is over, we will welcome you
back! I am so sorry that some of you lost your vacations, but I hope you can find another time to come! Most important, I hope you are staying well! Take this time to enjoy your family! Just want you to know I am thinking of you and praying for you, and can not wait to see you again!

I have enjoyed my wonderful guests this summer! I have met and talked with so many nice people! People talk about how bad things are, but I know there are a lot of beautiful people in this world, because I meet a lot of them when they come to Country Acres Retreat! I love when they have a good time with their families! It does my heart good to hear the children say they had a great time! God has been so good to me! Thank you, friends!

It has been a busy week at Country Acres Retreat! My daughter and her husband from GA have been here all week! They, my son and his wife from Natrona Heights, PA have been here four days, and some local ones, painting, installing new rope lights, cleaning, planting flowers, installing a new dishwasher and new fan, fixing anything that was broken, and washing all windows.
are not finished yet! I also had a ramp built to make it easier for handicapped people to get in. There is now a railing at the steps down over the bank that leads to the pond. We will post pictures when it is all finished!
There will be a new entrance to the cabin! Watch for it and enter where the sign will be through the wooded area!

After waiting for many years, we have now been able to get much better internet service at the cabin! Our renters are enjoying this improvement, and we are grateful!
We have been having some beautiful weather, after what seemed like a very rainy season. Today is a beautiful day at Country Acres Retreat! My renters are enjoying this time relaxing and renewing friendships!

Many of my guests have been enjoying skiing! We had some nice weather for skiing, then some days in the 60's and 70's! Today is colder and some rain again. In Garrett County it changes often.
One grandmother from Montana went sled riding with her grandson, and had a great time!

The mother of a bride-to-be called me this morning and would like to see pictures of weddings held at the pond and pavilion. Do you have pictures that you could share on here so she can get more ideas of how to set things up for her daughter's wedding? This would include the tent, tables, decorations, flowers, chairs, benches, hay bales, or whatever. Thank you!

I went to an Auction today and bought flowers to hang and plant around the pavilion and cabin. The sun is shining today! We have had rain nearly everyday in May.
My renters are enjoying their canoes on the pond this afternoon. They are newly weds and are enjoying a relaxing time with friends and family!

Spring has arrived and cleaning the area has begun! Oh, we may have more snow, but it won't stay long if we do! Grass is getting green, and mowing will begin soon. Yesterday some of our family ate lunch at the pavilion and invited the cabin renters to join us. We had a beautiful warm day and a wonderful time talking and making new friends!
