Weather Update!

River levels have dropped enough and the parade will line up in the Marina as planned!

Parade officials are watching the weather hourly, and so far, we should have perfect weather for the 1:00 start of the parade

And no better time to discuss parking options for the parade!
- Afton’s Main Street is NO PARKING during the parade but….
- Free offsite parking and shuttle bus will be running from the Lakeland Plaza parking lot to Afton City Hall from 11-3 (bus will be taking a break during the parade)
- TROLLEYS - FREE trolley rides within the village of Afton will be running along the length of Afton’s Main Street (Afton city hall to River Road)
- PARKING is also available along roads leading into and out of afton
- ROAD CLOSURES from 12:45-2 for all roads leading into and out of afton.

‼️Parade officials are constantly monitoring the river levels and if the Afton Marina road remains flooded, the parade will line up the shoulder of the south bound lane of Co. Rd. 18 just north of intersection with Co.Rd. 21.

July is here!! We are so excited for the parade on Thursday, and even more excited to announce that Governor Tim Walz will be present!!! 🥳🇺🇸 Vendors will begin serving food/drinks at 11am, the parade will begin at 1pm, and events and activities in the park will run until 3pm. We can’t wait!

🎉🎉The Afton Parade Committee is looking for two 14 - 16 years old young adults to manage the two bounce houses located in Afton's Town Square Park during the 4th of July Parade. Must be able to make change and manage the kids going in and out of the Bounce Houses. Hours on the 4th will be from 10:30 to 3:00.

PARKING / SHUTTLE / TROLLEYS
Free Off-site Parking and a free shuttle bus will run from the Lakeland Plaza parking lot to Afton City Hall starting at 11:00AM and ending at 3:00PM. The shuttle bus will take a break during the parade.
TROLLEYS— FREE trolley rides within the Village of Afton. Runs the length of Afton’s Main street (Afton City Hall to River road) from 11:00 til 3:00
NO PARKING —Afton’s Main Street is NO PARKING during the parade
PARKING — along roads leading into and out of Afton only
ROAD CLOSURES — all roads into and out of Afton close at 12:45 PM and remain closed until the parade has completed its route (approximately 2:00 PM).
