River Bend Ranch and Solid Rock Red Angus, owned by the Frasier family, raise commercial and seedstock Red Angus cattle. Our family has been ranching on the Plains of Eastern Colorado since the 1940’s. The cattle are run on native grass with rotational paddock grazing. We manage our cow herds utilizing artificial breeding and embryo transfer technology, cattle record keeping with an online platform and have experience with retained ownership of our feeder calves.

Cover letter with two references and resume must be submitted by February 16th to 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐬@𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥.𝐜𝐨𝐦 to be considered. Here are some facts about our internship program:
🌞 RBR has offered a summer internship for 11 years.
🌞 Summer Internship Duration: mid-May through early/mid-August.
🌞 Housing and a work vehicle is provided on the ranch.
🌞 Intern will gain experience in cattle management, veterinary practices, pressurized water systems, electric fencing and planned cattle matings.
🌞 Three hours credit is possible through qualifying department internship programs.

What does an intern do in our summer ranch internship? Intern will gain experience in cattle management, veterinary practices, pressurized water systems, electric fencing and planned matings. All work Is done using ranch trucks and ATVs. Tasks will include, but will not be limited to:
🐂Assisting with calving checks
🐂Identifying newborn calves
🐂Checking animal health of all classifications
🐂Moving herds through paddocks
🐂Tracking pasture growth
🐂Assisting with artificial breeding and vaccination programs
🐂Cattle record keeping
🐂Fence/corral construction
