One of the things we love most about Northern Michigan is the history. We like to imagine the days when guests would travel, by train, to Conway or Oden, from Chicago or Detroit. Perhaps they would even spend their first night at The Conway Inn. Once boarding one of the steamers, they would traverse the inland waterway, until they reached their destination. This route would take them right past where Bear Cabin stands today. What an amazing journey it must have been!

Not a lot of snow at Bear Cabin, but we found some north of the bridge! Had a great lunch at the lumberjack Tavern in Strong's. If your looking for snow it is great up there!

Incredible end to the fall Up North! Made the short trip from 🐻 Cabin to 🚣 🚴🐎this weekend. The weather was unbelievable 🌞. Everything was perfect for peak colors 🍁

Bear Cabin is across the smaller pond this weekend taking in the west shore of Lake Michigan! We stopped for a short visit in Sheboygan (with an S). Whistling Straits at didn't disappoint! What an amazing view.
