The Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece of 20th Century architecture. When live shows aren’t running, visitors can tour the grand structure. They originally thought the Sydney Opera House would only take 4 years to build. They were off though ... way off. It actually took 14 years to complete.

The Sydney Harbor Bridge construction was completed in March 1932, it was a colossal effort requiring the skills of 1400 workers over eight years.

These were cool to see in person!

Maui can give the best sunsets; however, you can see a beautiful sunrise up on Haleakalā National Park. You do have to get up very early to go see this, but it is worth it!
You do need to dress warm as it gets to be in the 30's and 40's up on top. Dress in layers as you will be warm coming back down the mountain. You can book different excursion trips up to the National Park. If you have trips to Maui planned, you should check these excursions out.

Have you ever tried a lounge at an airport. We have not before but when we had a 7-hr. layover in San Francisco, I looked for options to see how we can spend our 7-hr. day.
We found the United Club lounge and got a day pass! It was worth it! It was a quiet and comfortable room. You got food and drinks with the day pass along with a lot of bathrooms. The food was great!

If you have to spend that much time in an airport! It is worth it!

We got to see a sloth when we were in Costa Rica!
They are definitely noted for their slowness of movement. Tree sloths spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees of the tropical rainforests of South America and Central America.

Travel tip for those of you with iPhones.

If you are in a foreign country and need to find out what it would cost for an item that has their dollar amount, take out your calculator on your iPhone. Follow these steps in the pictures.
1. Push the bottom left corner of the calculator.
2. Swipe it to convert
3. Then convert it to whatever you need it to be for where you are at. Type in your numbers and there you go. 😃
