Ed.D., a successful teacher and school administrator for 33 years. He spent decades as an elementary and middle school teacher in an urban upstate New York school district. In his role as a school administrator, he began to do more traveling around the country visiting school districts looking for new, successful programs to benefit students. He has traveled to Hawaii over 22 times in the past 25
years. Between 2013 and 2016 alone he and his wife made 4 trips with family to our favorite islands. In addition, we have begun traveling to Europe and been on several cruises including the Caribbean, Tahiti and Bora Bora. in Psychology, an M.A. in Education and Doctor of Education degree in educational leadership focusing on increasing parent and community engagement in schools. Dr. Amodeo is also the co-author of two education workbooks published by the International Center for Leadership in Education, a division of Scholastic, Inc. Suomi Erin Amodeo, B.A., M.A., Ed.D., an experienced educator with a background in working with the most challenged urban populations. She served as a classroom teacher and later as a Director of Adult and Alternative Education, including incarcerated programs and an Alternative Middle and High School principal for many years. Heavily involved in the local community, she has served on many community boards, committees at the school district, community and college level and served on an advisory board to the Commissioner of Education.
