It's National Read a Book Day! We want to highlight our long time non-profit partner Read to Me! ABQ Network. This amazing group of volunteers collects, sorts and distributes books to children throughout the community and along the Rail Runner corridor. Most recently, we worked with them to bring 600 books on the Rail Runner from Albuquerque to Santo Domingo Pueblo.

Earlier this week a washout at the South Capitol Station impacted a portion of the walkway and some of the accessible parking spaces. Our Rio Metro maintenance crew - also known as the Go-To Team - was on top of the situation, working hard clear the area and make necessary repairs.

Thanks to the Valencia County Sheriff's Office for inviting us to their annual National Night Out. We enjoyed visiting with community members about the Rail Runner and Rio Metro bus services, talking to families about rail safety, and Trax had a great time posing for pictures! Meep Meep!

Rail Runner track maintenance work is scheduled again tomorrow, August 3, between the Bernalillo County and Belen Stations. Passengers on board trains #702, #703 & #704 will be bussed between Bernalillo County and Belen stations. Expect minor delays during this time.
