I was just sorta dozing in bed this morning thinking that very soon my mornings will be starting way before the sun rises. I was also thinking of how much I love Sri Lanka and India. We get folks that do one trip or the other and folks that do both together. We often see Leopards on every game drive in Botswana, however those Leopards in Sri Lanka are so addicting. Of course the tigers are one of the most majestic animals I can think of to see in the wild.

In all the beauty of the wild places, it's easy to just get lost in deep thought and lose track of the ups and downs of life. Maybe it's the warm light, maybe the expression of the colors, tones, and movement. Or maybe it's just the beauty of freedom.
Not sure I can put an exact reason for such a wonderful thing as the distraction that takes you to some of the most wonderful feelings out there. I do know that this is a special kind of blessing, a place of pure happiness, a place where the everything is just perfect, if even for a short while. I suppose the trick is to realize it, to never take it for granted, to take a moment to look to the heavens above and say Thank you Lord, I am blessed with this gift you have shared with me.

Some days you are blessed with more then you need. How do you choose when so many blessings are presented all at once. Other days we can struggle a bit and often have to step back, take a deep breath and try again.

Indeed there are so many professions in our world, so many ways to make a living. There are those who save lives, those who make a living on another's misery, those who make sure you get food, those who share the word of God and living with great morals and values. When I think of my current line of work, I feel so blessed that it can be so positive. Have you ever really dove deep into your profession and how it impacts others. What is your part in the world? It is such an interesting thought. May I be forgiven if I ever took advantage of any gift of ability that I was given and did not use it to be a positive influence in the world.

There are so many different species in the Pantanal. One of my favorite is the Brazilian Tapir. They can be very shy. We had a few nice sightings this year.
