Employee Spotlight ✨ Meet Kevin Spann. Kevin was born and raised in East Tennessee, where he grew up on a small farm, spending his early years hunting, fishing, and working with his hands. His passion for aviation began at the age of 10 after taking his first flight, an experience that sparked a lifelong infatuation with everything related to aviation. From that moment on, Kevin knew he wanted to pursue a career in the aviation industry.

In 2005, Kevin graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management and an A&P mechanics license. Three years later, in 2008, he began working at Flight Choice as the Director of Maintenance while also completing his pilot’s licenses. In 2011, Kevin and his wife joined Mission Aviation Fellowship, a faith-based humanitarian aviation organization. They spent 3.5 years living in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where Kevin served as both a line pilot and the Maintenance Director.

The journey comes full circle, as Kevin now leads the Maintenance division at a Flight Choice, and is a Partner in the company. Kevin currently resides in Knoxville with his wife Tasha and their three beautiful children.

Flight Choice is honored to welcome David Weems to our first-class maintenance team. David first encountered aviation in 1996 when he joined the United States Air Force as an F-15E crew chief. He served with the 334th and 335th fighter squadrons and was deployed to the Middle East.

He acquired his Airframe and Powerplant license in 1998 and his Inspector Authorization in 2002. David has been working in aviation maintenance for 28 years.

In his free time, he loves to travel with his wife of 22 years, Stacie, and their 19-year-old son, Jacob. Help us give “Dave” a warm welcome!
