Clue #1:
All the way back when the wall caved in,
When the wall caved in refers to Wall Street crash that triggered the Great Depression.

A part-time resident of a place known by a special rug and Johnny’s fruit made a fresh arrangement.
FDR was president then and had a personal retreat in Georgia.
Georgia is known as the peach state
A special rug = Persian. Johnny’s fruit = apple (Johnny Appleseed). Persian Apple = Peach
Fresh arrangement = New Deal (created social security)

In the park with nets, there so you don't fall.
On your road to the treasure try to see what’s flying and look for a way.
• A clue about the road it’s on. Park with nets (Aliant Parkway / Nets = SSA is a social safety net program.) Try to see what’s flying (airplanes) and look for a way (parkway). The SSA is located near the intersection of Airport Road and Aliant Parkway.

Clue #2:
Franklin made a deal to help Sam heal.
When it's time to chill and your work is done,
to this location you might want to run.
You've paid your part to the sum that's amassed,
but we're just wondering how long it will last.

Franklin (Delano Roosevelt) was the president whose New Deal was launched to rescue (heal) the US (Uncle Sam) during the Great Depression.
When it's time to chill and your work is done (retire) you might want to run to the SSA to collect your benefits.
You've paid your part (social security tax) to the sum that's amassed (amount of money you're owed).
Wondering how long it will last (will Social Security still be available in the future is a common concern).

The Sun Festival Medallion Hunt starts tomorrow morning. We have just a few tips as you prepare to start looking:

1. It will be in the Alexander City city limits.
2. It will be outside.
3. If located at a business, the owner nor employees are aware.
4. It will be located in an area that is accessible to the public.
5. It will not be in an area that requires you to damage property, etc. in order to locate it.
6. If not found by 3pm, a second clue will be released.

We will make a post notifying everyone once we have positive confirmation that the medallion has been found.
