Reservations are beginning to fill in but we still have a cabin for you this week and a few left for New Year's Eve. AND, we may have a powdery Christmas present with snow in the forecast Wednesday through Saturday this week! Crested Butte Mountain Resort is rocking and rolling for all of you downhillers and Crested Butte Nordic has groomed XC ski trails, rentals and snowshoes available. Happy Holidays!

Congratulations to our friends at Garlic Mike's!! You guys put the Dine in our Float! If you've experienced our Float 'n Dine partnership, you know how good it is. Waaaay back in the early part of the 2000's, Michael and I concocted this Float 'n Dine idea when we were sitting on the Gunnison Country Chamber of Commerce board together. What a hit. We recommend them for dinner, your special occasion, holiday party, holiday gift card or even a private chef event (while staying in one of our fabulous vacation homes)! Just go get some G-Mike's!

Who wants to join us for the best small town tree lighting event? Come on up this weekend for Gunnison's Night of Lights! On Friday, Main Street is closed off for light displays, food vendors, fire pits and entertainment. Watch Santa light the tree with his magic wand and then join him at the Elks for an after party. It's one of the best events of the year! And don't forget, we've got your cozy cabin up here in Almont!

It's been a wild 24 hours but today is beautiful and all of our scheduled arrivals made it here yesterday. We are thankful! We're taking last minute reservations for today and tomorrow arrivals and we still have plenty of availability for the best ski season opening weekend ever!

It's growing steadily but I just checked in guests coming from the east (Denver) over Monarch Pass and the west (Grand Junction) over Cerro Summit so come on over and play in our winter wonderland! The best part - total silence!

US 50 Middle Bridge in Gunnison fully reopens today
Work continues on Lake Fork Bridge for the next few weeks

The Colorado Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the full reopening of the US 50 Middle Bridge to two-way travel Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Flagging and pilot car operations at this bridge are expected to end midday when both lanes will open for travel.

The US 50 Lake Fork Bridge about five miles to the west will still be restricted to one lane of travel with work expected to finish in December.
