In March 2020 when my office closed I contacted all the women who I knew had orchids in their offices and offered to pick them up and bring them home to take care of them. Two years later nobody wants their orchids back and thanks to friends who keep giving me orchids I have amassed a large collection, who all enjoyed their yearly Orchid Spa Day today (new soil and moss and leaf cleaning). Grateful to for teaching me the art of orchid care and to for bringing me a new orchid every time you visit.

Giving thanks this weekend that our hive, which two weeks ago was pushed over twice in 24 hours by a bear, has survived. The population has decreased somewhat, but the girls are busy today making repairs and enjoying the warm Atlanta weather. We’ll be feeding them all winter and are feeling confident they will pull through. Thank you St. Benedict, one of the patron saints of beekeepers.
