Did you know....
.. that Grundy County was divided between the North and the South in the Confederate War? Captain Stephen Tipton, a Union Captain, was ambushed outside his home in Altamont by Confederate soldiers. Come out to the Fannie Moffitt Autumn Stomp and take a ride on the Hay Ride with Fannie and Capt. Tipton as they take you through Altamont telling you of their lives and deaths in Altamont. First ride leaves at 11AM!

Welcome home Greeter! After several days of searching high and low, Greeter was found at the local elementary school! We are so glad he's back to hanging out on the porch and sleeping in the sun.
