UMass Free Trip to Israel Travel for 10 days in Israel with other UMass students. FOR FREE!!!! Winter 2019-2020 Trip Dates:
December 22 - January 2
January 4 - January 16 What is it?

Birthright is a totally free 10 day trip to Israel for young Jews who have never been on an organized trip to Israel before. We tour around this fascinating tiny country and see the heights of the desert fortress of Masada, float in the Dead Sea, be inspired at the Western Wall and remember the tragedy of the holocaust at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem. We'll hike and swim in the beautiful north, go kaya

king in the Jordan River, and see the Kineret (Sea of Galilee). We also get a chance to spend a night under the stars in Bedouin tents in the desert. Discover Israel, connect with Judaism in whatever way feels right and make friends who will last you a lifetime! Who is eligible? All Jewish students between the age of 18 and 26 who have at least one Jewish parent and have never been to Israel on an organized trip before, can go on the FREE 10-day Birthright Israel trip together with other UMass Jewish students during Winter Break, 2023!

#Bus218 had a relaxing Shabbat in Jerusalem, complete with a conversation about Jewish identity, a visit to the Israel Museum, and a bar/bat mitzvah ceremony. We finished the day with a meaningful Havdallah ceremony. We’re getting excited for our last day exploring Tel Aviv! #Birthright #UMass2Israel #IsraelOutdoors

We took some time yesterday to take a step back from the previous week and realized. We spent our morning at the Israel Museum followed by a long break in the afternoon. In the evening we spoke about our Jewish values, the Holocaust, and finished off with a fun activity run by our soldiers. We closed our shabbat with a Havdallah ceremony led by a few of our group members. Today we head to Yad Vashem and Har Hertzl. #umass2israel #israeloutdoors #bus9 #birthrightisrael
