What do we do with all this crab? 🦀 Here’s one option. Crab melt with a twist!

Pre-toast english muffins. Fold crab into a mixture of whipped cream cheese, cracked pepper, dried mustard and seafood seasoning to taste. Top with sliced avocado and havarti cheese. Broil until cheese is melted. Enjoy!

(So good we almost forgot to take a photo of the final product!)😋

Can you freeze your catch to share with friends and family? The answer is yes! Blanching is a cooking process in which a food is scalded in boiling water, removed after a brief timed interval, and finally plunged into iced water or placed under cold running water (known as shocking or refreshing) to halt the cooking process. To process your Dungeness crab, blanch for 9 minutes. Shock to halt the heat and freeze until you are ready to use it. Prior to your meal, thaw and finish with another 9 minutes in the pot. Enjoy!
