Hello Fellow Weirdos!
You have probably notice an absence of activity on this page. That is because I had major surgery in late September and am still recovering in energy and stamina. So there will be no pre-holiday shows to end 2022 for the oddities shop. Watch out for the 2023 events though! Paranormal ghost hunts at the Birchwood Saloon remain in effect for Tuesdays 8-10 pm. Please check out our website to purchase tickets! And thank you for your patience

What an interesting cultural activity with the dead.
We are at Friday Fling in Palmer! Come by and say hello. It’s a great time to pick up an oddity and then enter yourself into our little competition for a $45 gift certificate ( see previous post for details )
Giving a shout out to AK Apparitions for the beautiful artwork, inspired by one of our wet specimen octopus! Thanks Makenzie for brightening my mailbox today 💜
Tonight’s ghost hunt at the Birchwood Saloon did not disappoint. While setting up, a loud “pssst” could be heard in the kitchen. While the guests were listening to an explanation for how to capture the voices of entities by audio recording, a small pebble was thrown into the room and created a lot of ruckus! There are no rocks or pebbles anywhere near the kitchen area. After nerves were settled, the group was able to continue on with the ghost hunt. It was definitely a night to remember!
We at Spirit of the Dead Adventures thought it’s time to have a little fun by playing a game, as we wind down the summer season of vending events.
The Game: By August 15th (Jaime’s 45th birthday!!), post a picture to this post of a piece you purchased from us. We are looking for the most creative way you display your oddity. Winner will receive a $45 gift card, which is good for future purchases of oddities or ghost hunting tickets!
How do you win? We’ll let your peers be the judge. The picture in the comments with the most engagement wins!
If you don’t have one of our oddities yet, it’s not too late! Our last two events of the season are at Friday Fling in Palmer on July 29th and August 5th.

Someone we met in Savannah, Georgia sent us what they believed was a shadow person on this headstone at the Colonial Park Cemetery. It’s the video version of a “live” picture from the individual’s iPhone. What do you think: shadow of a person or shadow man? It was taken at approximately 9 pm, well after dark. There are street lights behind the photographer. The individual claims no one was around them at the time.
