Guess who’s back! 🐻 Cinnamon the Bear is making his way up the mountain as hibernation season approaches. We haven’t seen him since May, but with his amazing memory, he remembered the sweet treat from our hummingbird feeder! As bears stay active until late November, be extra cautious if you’re outside at night or early morning. Always stay aware of your surroundings and enjoy watching from a safe distance!

Tonight is the perfect night for making s’mores at the fire pit! It's hard to believe, but this is actually our first time using this amenity. Usually, we're so busy working to enhance our guests’ stay that we don't have time for it. We're excited to finally unwind by the fire and enjoy the evening here at Bear Necessities Lodge!
Elk spotting! We’ve been seeing a large bull elk with a small herd near Bear Necessities Lodge, but his antlers have remained elusive in the trees—until yesterday. While driving through the neighborhood, he crossed right in front of us! We caught up just in time to admire him through the golden leaves of the aspens. Yes, the fall colors have started to emerge, and they’re beautiful in the Enchanted Circle. Plan your stay soon before the colors are gone and the snowfall begins.
At Bear Necessities Lodge, even our mule deer have their own dinner table drama! Picture this: it’s dusk, and the mule deer are out for their evening meal. Suddenly, one mule deer gives another a little kick, clearly saying, “This is my meal spot! Find your own!”
