“En Maximo, les ofrecemos ceniza de berenjena a nuestros comensales en lugar de mantequilla o aceite de oliva. La receta surgió en Yelapa, un día que cociné una berenjena en una fogata. Ahora las hago tatemadas, les agrego queso de cabra de Celaya y así queda una crema sedosa y deliciosa”. –Chef .

Please don't be jealous, but soon, we hope to be sending some lucky travelers to this property off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia! Chevere! Note: We can take you too!

Blue Apple's beach club is the perfect antidote to the heat and hustle of Cartagena. As we are just 30 minutes away by boat and offer three departures every day, getting here is easy, even if you're not a morning person. Also a converted private home, designed using local architectural techniques an...

This picture is exactly what we don't want to be. The irresponsible tourist. No shirt, no mask, showing no respect for the country and people they are visiting. Completely self-centered behavior. Yes, it makes me mad.

One of our favorite stops on the Craft Route in Oaxaca's Central Valley, is in the weaving community of Santo Tomas Jalieza. Sometimes we visit weavers in their homes, and sometimes we stop at this wonderful community craft market, located in the center of town. It's a very egalitarian place, where the community artisans rotate their time in assisting in the booths. It has recently been remodeled and now we really can't wait to see it! Note the use of local "carrizo" a wild cane that grows in the region.

En tu proxima visita a Santo Tomás Jalieza, asiste al mercado artesanal. En donde encontrarás los más bellos y originales textiles de telar de cintura elaborados con fino algodón.

Good article on travel guidelines. We continue to monitor vaccine rates, and CDC guidelines. As such, we remain in a holding pattern.

As domestic vaccination rates trend upward, more people are traveling or planning to travel. Here’s the latest guidance for doing so safely.

Guauuu! Thank you Condé Nast Traveler for this honorable recognition of our work and years of travel and immersion in Mexico, with the Mexican people. Thank you SO much!
