***HURRICANE RELIEF AID IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR RESIDENTS OF CORTEZ FISHING VILLAGE***
The Captains for Cortez fundraiser event that took place on November 2nd created a fund to assist residents of Cortez Fishing Village with their immediate needs.

In order to apply for assistance, residents can call, email or text the contacts below, and provide their name, phone number, address, and a general description of their immediate needs. To qualify, applicants do not need to be related to the fishing industry, but do need to live within the limits of the village, and have a need directly related to hurricanes Helene or Milton. Funds will be available on a first come first serve basis until they're gone.

As we start working our way back to normalcy, we are grateful for the news we've received so far from friends, family, and neighbors. All things considered, we have a lot to be thankful for. Thank you for all the messages, prayers, and acts of kindness. Our family feels humbled and grateful as we wait for Hurricane Milton to make landfall in our area. It will be bad, no doubt. We hope to be back in business at some point in the future, but for now we just wait in a safe location until we are able to return home and start rebuilding. Blessings all!

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we would like to send a shout out to everyone who has stepped up to help residents and business owners in many different ways. You know who you are and we THANK YOU! A special thanks to the boating community, fishing and tour guides, who have worked incessantly shuttling people & supplies from different points on mainland to Anna Maria Island and Long Boat Key. There is much to do in the months ahead, but as a community and with God's blessing, we will be back better and stronger.
