WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT…. MEET THE OTHER WOMEN BEFORE YOU TRAVEL (WTT EXCLUSIVE FEATURE)
You'll have plenty of opportunities to communicate and get to know the other women on your trip long before the trip begins. Coordin

ate flying together, free time interests, and more all in a secure area on our website. By the time the trip begins you'll already be well acquainted and excited to meet your fellow travelers in person! BIG & SMALL WHERE IT COUNTS
Women Traveling Together has a large and loyal repeat client base that has grown year after year since 1997, making it possible to offer more than 130 trips a year. In fact, most of our tours sell out six or more months before departure. We’re BIG enough to:
-Be a member of the National Tour Association, protecting our travelers with $1 million in tour liability coverage

-Hire and train seasoned travel veterans as group leaders to ensure a consistently superior travel experience

-Garner national press coverage to keep attracting more travelers, which enables us to offer more tours

Yet we’re SMALL in some very important ways:

-We’re still owned and operated by our founder, and guided by her vision

-We deliberately keep our group size small to enhance your travel experience

-We give every traveler personal attention tailored to her wants and needs

-We take the time to get to know you; you’re part of the WTT family

THROWBACK TUESDAY… Turning the tables
This 2013 shot at Germany’s Ludwig Castle probably happened as the WTT Tour Leader took a group shot of the ladies who decided to turn the tables on her. Note how many of the ladies are using digital cameras. Cell phone cameras have improved exponentially in the last decade.

THE LORRAINE MOTEL
Originally a whites-only establishment, The Lorraine Motel in Memphis became a haven for black artists like Aretha Franklin and Sam Cooke in the 1950s and 1960s. It later gained infamy as the site of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, the motel is part of the renowned National Civil Rights Museum--a must-visit when in Memphis. photos: WTT Memphis & Nashville tour, October 2024

A LEGENDARY ENTERTAINER
On the Waterfront Walkway in San Diego is what looks like a small crowd listening to a man at an old-time mic. The National Salute to Bob Hope and the Military is a collection of 15 life-sized bronze statues that pay tribute to the hundreds of performances the entertainer played for US troops during WWII through Operation Desert Storm when he was in his 80s. In 1997, Bob Hope became the first civilian to be named an honorary veteran. photos: WTT San Diego tour, January 2025

WAGNER TO BEYONCE
Named by Queen Victoria in memory of her husband, Royal Albert Hall has hosted the world's leading artists since 1871—from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyonce, Muhammad Ali to Adele. Famed for striking architecture, we stopped for a photo op during a bike ride around London’s Kensington area. GO WITH THE BEST & FORGET THE REST... sounds like bragging but... recently a woman posted a negative review about a new “women-only, small-group” travel company that folded taking her money for a trip that will not happen—on WTT’s page! With the explosion of “small-group, women-only” travel options in recent years, some fly-by-night organizations have cropped up. Our 28 years of women-only travel and VERY high repeat traveler rate means a good value and experience for you—with no worries WTT will disappear with your money. So go with the best and forget the rest! photo: WTT Iceland tour, 2014—YES, 2014. We’ve been doing this for a while!

MAKE WAY FOR THE DUCKS
Legend holds the daily march of the ducks in Memphis’ Peabody Hotel was fueled by whiskey 90 years ago when hotel guests sipping a bit too much thought it would be fun to put live ducks into the lobby fountain. Video: WTT Memphis & Nashville tour, October 2024

“A MAGICAL DREAM”
Located in the Dolomite Alps in Northeastern Italy, Lago di Braies is considered one of the world's most beautiful lakes. When we visited last October, there had been an early snowfall. In the words of the WTT Tour Leader Elizabeth Scott (who's seen a good bit of the world), the 1.5-mile walk around the lake was “a magical dream.” photo: WTT Into the Alps tour, October 2024

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN ATHLETE BUT… we walk a lot on every tour. Why? Because we strongly believe you better experience a destination with feet on the ground. Some tours are more active than others and each is given an “Activity Rating” so you know exactly what to expect. photo: WTT Death Valley National Park tour, February 2024

VERMONT CREEMEES
Vermont's soft serve ice cream gets its name for its extra creamy texture due to the type of cows (Jersey) that produce the milk it's made from. Maple-flavored creemees are popular but some travelers chose the highly recommended maple/coffee twist. Any extra calories ingested were easily justified by the amount of walking/hiking we did and the fact we were on vacation! 😊 Photo: WTT Exploring Vermont tour, September 2024

CRUISING ON DUBLIN'S CANALS
Not necessarily a city you'd associate with canals, Dublin does have canals first dug in the 18th century to facilitate trade and transportation. Today Dublin's canals provide green spaces and are primarily used for leisure activities like boating, walking, and cycling. During our visit last fall, we took a dinner cruise on Dublin's Grand Canal. photo: WTT Ireland The Emerald Isle, September 2024

DISCOVER DEATH VALLEY – MARCH 2025 plus time in Las Vegas
One of the most other-worldly places on the planet, Death Valley National Park offers stunning vistas, tremendous geologic diversity, a rich cultural history, and a surprising amount of wildlife. Our adventure begins and ends in Las Vegas, which provides a sharp contrast with the extreme barren beauty of Death Valley. CHILLY WEATHER… made us think of chili
With a large swath of the US bracing for a winter storm, our thoughts turned to comfort food… like chili (although chili is good in warmer weather too 😊). Last September, we stopped at Dixon’s Chili in Independence, Missouri on our America’s Heartland tour. Favored by President Harry Truman, Dixon’s has been serving chili with various options for over 100 years. We knew it was going to be good when it seemed half the town (including the police force) was inside. Down home, very casual, but clean with great service and excellent MO chili.

DON’T FEAR “FREE TIME”
We build free time into every tour to allow you to explore personal interests. You are NOT on your own figuring out what to do. The WTT Tour Leader will have suggestions, help pair those with similar interests, and often participate. If you just want to relax, you can do that too. Think of free time as “me time.” Photos: Relaxing on Montana dude ranch; Meow Wolf immersive art experience in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and shopping in Cairo, Egypt.

About Women Traveling Together

Safe, Small Group Travel for The Solo Woman since 1997. TWENTY-THREE YEARS AGO Debra Asberry wanted to take a trip but no one she knew could or would go with her. Not wanting to go alone (not as fun or safe) or travel with a large tour group of couples and feel like a 5th wheel, she did some informal research and discovered a surprising number of women in the same situation. She went onto to found Women Traveling Together and still runs the organization today. WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT….
