What does that mean exactly? From August 11 to August 17, certain clothing, accessories, and footwear under $100 will be exempt from Maryland's six percent sales tax. The first $40 on the purchase of a backpack will also not be taxed.

Happy Birthday, George Washington! 🎉Here’s how you can celebrate our first #POTUS in Annapolis: See his handwritten speech and statue at the Maryland State House where he resigned as commander in chief on December 23, 1783. He was a horse racing enthusiast and attended races in the area, some along West Street and Maryland Avenue. Horse racing started in Maryland BTW- #NotKentucky. Top it off at the subterranean pub, the Drummer’s Lot below the Maryland Inn, where he toasted the signing of the Treaty of Paris with fellow revolutionaries back in the day.
