This year, Annapolis is marking a historic milestone – the 200th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette’s Farewell Tour of America (1824-1825)! ✨

Invited by President James Monroe as a “Guest of the Nation,” Lafayette was greeted with immense joy and celebration across all 24 states. As the last surviving general of the American Revolution, he became a symbol of patriotism and unity in the early years of our nation.

From December 13th-15th, join the Annapolis Friends of Lafayette for a weekend of exciting events celebrating America's beloved "fighting Frenchman." 🎶🎨 Fun for all ages awaits across the city—and who knows, Lafayette himself might just make an appearance! 🎩✨
