***Post from her Mommy**I wanna start out by saying how thankful and blessed we are to have the support, an love from so many! The PRAYING village we have is like no other!❤️ she had a feeding tube it was put in shortly after we arrived here an was able to start eating mommy’s milk around 4 or 5 yesterday afternoon 10mls an hour. She was so uncomfortable and just cried an cried, she couldn’t get no rest at all she had a rough two days for sure. An last night at 8:30 they came in to put a central line in through the artery in her left leg so that she has a more supportive line for the stronger meds they put her on that goes straight to her heart. An at 11 I was able to feed her a 2 ounce bottle an the relief all over her little face when she was able to drink my milk from a bottle again was heart warming, she sucked it down quick, like she should have been all along at home but she was so weak all the time even when she didn’t seem like it to us that she just couldn’t suck as hard as she can now and she would just wear her self out and go to sleep. An again at 4 I was able to feed her a second bottle of milk a she sucked it down too and she’s all bundled up and sleeping so peacefully. To see her so relaxed an sleeping so good is such a relief to us too! What she has is called “Partial AV canal defect & VSD with mitral valve insufficiency” it’s hard to explain through typing it’s just better to show people in person with a drawing like we’ve done with our family’s today like the doctor showed us. Their goal is to get good weight gain and to get the fluid build up away from around her heart an lungs An to just all in all get her to where she needs to be where we will be able to keep the surgery pushed back to 4 months or longer. This baby came in very sick and they are doing an amazing job and doing everything they can to keep her progressing through out each day. The prayers are working an our girl is getting stronger by the minute. She is such a fighter an so strong! Just to see her sleeping so good on a full belly with good color back to her, we can’t thank GOD enough for all he’s doing and can’t thank yall enough for the strong prayers getting sent up for her, she feels them just as much as we do! We love yall an just keep praying! This sweet baby is Dayleigh Grace. She is basically another one of our grands!!! They are at UAB indefinitely rt now and could use ALL the prayers and help anyone can spare!!! Her Mommy and Daddy are staying with her and everyone knows how expensive that is! On top of missing work. But there is no way they are leaving her side!!! If anyone can help, we would be so grateful! Even if it's a couple dollars! A sausage biscuit alone is $8, so rt now they are really struggling. And PLEASE, PLEASE send all the prayers for full healing of this angel! Also keep her Mommy and Daddy in your prayers!
