Austin got married on Saturday!
It was a perfect day, perfect ceremony, and perfect union.
Many of you have been taken on trips by Austin on her own since she was 16. We have felt the outpouring of love from everyone. It takes a village, and we so appreciate everyone who helped her along to this point.
Bart and Austin rode into the ceremony on horseback, with Zip leading the way of course.

Now that the season is over and we’re snuggled in by the fire for the rest of the winter, it’s the perfect time to pick up a good book!

Austin just released her second novel today! It’s a thrilling western, with some of the story taking place around Blue Lake.

Her first book, An Outfitter’s Ramblings can still be ordered through her directly or via Amazon. They make the perfect Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers!

Austin’s fiancé Troy also has two books out, Platoro: The Summer Range and The Last Comanche Moon. Platoro is the perfect book for those of you who are familiar with the Conejos Canyon and Platoro area.

We had a decent snow fall in between first and second rifle, with our camps taking some big hits as they were empty and didn’t have anyone there to keep the snow shook off.

6 bulls have come out so far, with Bart retrieving number 7 today.

Bart has been burning the midnight oil, he has gotten home after 1 am every night the last few days. But, as he says, he can sleep all winter!

We will hopefully have more photos to follow, but the first rifle season has started out strong. We have six bulls down, and will be packing them out over the next few days.
