One of our favorite features of Zen Oasis is being able to enjoy the outdoors rain or shine. There is something so relaxing about sitting on the porch watching and listening to the rain while feeling and smelling the rain.

When staying at Zen Oasis, our favorite waterfront restaurant is Circles Waterfront Restaurant. Founded in 1998, it has been a popular award winning restaurant in the Tampa Bay area for years and is about a mile from Zen Oasis. Known for great sunset views, outdoor seating, boat parking and marina, lovely atmosphere, and delicious food. Our personal favorites are the Salmon meal or salad with salmon, sea bass, shrimp appetizer, and wings. We have found ourselves ordering takeout from there several times over the years.

Looking to get in a morning walk while staying at Zen Oasis? Walking to and from the Apollo Beach Preserve is usually about a 4 mile walk round trip on a paved sidewalk the entire way. You can expect to hear the birds chirping, say hi to other people and dogs out on their walk, and view several gorgeous homes. There are several other roads lined with sidewalks you can walk to increase your miles. At the preserve, sit at a bench, covered picnic table, dip your toes in the water, walk in the sand, meditate watching the water, or stroll along a nature path. In addition, you can walk up an observation tower to see for miles to downtown St Pete or downtown Tampa.

This morning just after sunrise, we had dolphins up and down the canal feeding off and on for 10-15 minutes. It was so magical watching them breach, hearing them blow, listening to the birds singing all around us, and feeling the fresh salty air breeze and sun on our faces.

If so, just hop in the car or grab a ride share service and enjoy the 35 minute drive. There are even some great places with scenic water views to stop for a bite to eat along the way.

One of our favorite places to visit when staying at Zen Oasis in Apollo Beach, FL is The Healthy Spot FL. Check out their menu and stop for some protien shakes, energy drinks, protien bites, and so so much more! Our personal favorites are the Hazelnut iced coffee and the Mango/Pineapple energy drink.
