Welcome aboard our FOURTH staff member Austin Curtiss aka ! Austin is our newest guide and we are delighted to have fill in when needed!

Austin is an all around native Florida enthusiast! His fossil hunting experience stretches back decades on the Peace River, with his great grandfather introducing him to the passion at the young age of 10 years old. He's hunted and explored most of Florida's major fossil regions, with thousands of epic finds under his belt.

Besides fossiling, Austin is a reptile and exotic animal expert, with over 15 years professionally catching and dealing with native species. In his spare time he also practices wildlife photography and exploring new places in the beautiful state we call Florida.

Pictured is an upper hemipristis, or snaggletooth shark tooth, from our site. It was recovered last summer and nearly spanned the magic 2 inch measurement!

This week it's gonna be a COLD one! 🥶

That being said, we are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We have Private Tours available from Wednesday onwards, but also added Canoe Outpost Guided Dig on Thursday in Arcadia, and a Raw Dry Dig for Friday.

This weekend, we have our Airboat offerings as well as Swamp Buggy Creek Dig offerings available.

Remember we have wetsuit rentals to keep you and yours warm as well.

Thanks everyone for such a fantastic holiday rush! We had some amazing finds and broke all prior records for number of folks joining us. From megs to makos, mammoth to horse fossils, a ton of amazing stuff came out in December and early January ( as you can see in the many recent reels).
