Digestive bitters! One of my favorite type of tinctures to make. I like to modify my recipe to include the bitter plants of the land where I am traveling. Good digestion is the key to a healthy life. Bitters help the liver to function properly and as my amazing herb teacher David Hoffmann always says, "every patient is a liver patient"!
Recipe:
Hercampuri (a Gentianella from Peru)
Coca leaf
Wormseed
Cinnamon
Ginger
Anise
Orange peel
Fennel flowers
Clove
