ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON MONDAY, MARCH 10, 2025 AT 7:00 P.M.
WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE! THIS IS A CALL FOR YOUR HELP!
Many of you are aware of our ODDS & ENDS AGAIN store’s plight. In a brief sentence, the city of Arden Hills wants us to shut our doors at the end of April.
The city council has categorized us as a thrift store. We are not a thrift store – people do not donate at this location and we do not do sorting at this location. Our sister company, SORT TOSS PACK, helps seniors organize, downsize, or move - and then they consign their treasures to ODDS & ENDS AGAIN or we do a buyout of their items. And we help seniors sell their houses through SLM REALTY. In addition, we also offer home maintenance and handyman services to seniors through our parent company, SENIOR LIFE MANAGEMENT. All our companies are currently working out of the 3529 Lexington location.
We are so grateful for the response from our customers. We have heard from you that you feel like we are a valuable addition to the community. We agree. We want to make our store a part of the community. We love our new location and want to stay.
We know that many of you have called city council members and because of this, late last week we started a petition and virtually everyone who walked through our doors the past few days has signed that petition. We are so appreciative of this support.
But there is more that you can do to help us out. On Monday, March 10, 2025 at 7:00 P.M., the Arden Hills City Council is having a council meeting. There is an open forum at the beginning of the meeting where you can voice your opinions:
· You can ask the council to support our cause in staying in our location at 3529 Lexington Avenue.
· Ask them to work with us through the process of becoming a permanent fixture at this location.
· You can let them know why we are important to you (everyday we hear from you about how happy you are that the store has reopened and that we are still in the neighborhood).
· Let them know what we have done to help you – if you are a SORT TOSS PACK client.
· And, talk about how we benefit the community.
The more people who show up, the larger impact we can make at this meeting and hopefully keep the store open.
Again, the Arden Hills City Council meeting is on Monday, March 10 at 7:00 P.M. It is being held at the Arden Hills City Hall located at 1245 West Highway 96.
We appreciate all your support as we rally our cause and voice our concerns to the city council. Again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the support you have given us. We are humbled by it.
