Well, I completed my 4th D-Day presentation in four days this morning at the Rotary Club of Wichita Falls North.
Their Club is smaller in numbers than many others, but based on all they are doing in their community, they are powerful!!
If you live in or around the Wichita Falls area and are looking for opportunities to serve, check them out!
I did something different at today’s D-Day program at the Wichita Falls Rotary meeting.
For the very 1st time, I dedicated today’s presentation in honor of PFC Lloyd R. Harvey who was killed in action on July 15, 1944 in Normandy. He is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery in France.
What made this day so special was that his Son, Dr. Lloyd Harvey, was a guest at today’s Rotary meeting.
Dr. Harvey never met his father. PFC Harvey died shortly before Dr. Harvey was born.
I am going to make a special effort to visit the gravesite of PFC Harvey when I’m in Normandy in September.
Another D-Day program in the books! Today, I was with the Wichita Falls Rotary Club presenting “D-Day’s Bloody Omaha”.
This is the 2nd day of D-Day presentations. Yesterday, I was at the Little Elm Rotary Club.

Several people have asked me why I didn’t attend the festivities for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy.
The attached photo says it all. As nd this wasn’t even on the beaches. It was inland in Sainte mere Eglise.
It sure won’t be this way in September!
