If you believe in keeping history alive, then it is your duty to explorw rge iconic Beaches of Normandy, France, where the largest amphibious military invasion took place on June 6, 1944.

What an honor it was yesterday to spend just over an hour with WW-II HERO and B-17 Pilot, John "Lucky" Luckadoo! He was part of the 8th Army Air Force with the 100th Bomb Group, which was nicknamed the "Bloody 100".

He looks great for someone who is over 102 years old, and his mind is still sharp as a tack! During our chat, he relayed several stories about the War and even told me how he was interviewed by the writers of the series "Masters of the Air" for insight about what they should/should not include in the TV series.

I actually met Lucky a couple of years ago when he spoke at Roll Call. I got him to autograph his book for me at that meeting. Since then, I have had him speak to another of my groups, and have taken around 30 of his books to him on 3 occasions to be autographed for others.

I had mentioned to a group on one of my recent D-Day trips that I had met Lucky and that he had written a book when he was 99 years old about his 25 misssions over Europe. They all wanted a copy of the book, so I ordered them off Amazon and made an appointment to go visit him once again for his autographs!

What a treasure he is!! To get to spend time with him was priceless!
