BBB National Programs is an independent, non-profit organization that oversees more than a dozen national industry self-regulation programs that set high standards for the advertising and privacy practices of business. These programs provide third-party accountability and dispute resolution services that create a fairer playing field for businesses and create a better experience for consumers. Emb

This method is appropriate where all claims challenged – either express or implied – raise a single well-defined issue and do not require review of complex evidence or argument (such as clinical or technical testing, consumer perception surveys, etc.).

This month, BBB National Programs’ Children’s Food & Beverage Advertising Initiative (CFBAI) and Children’s Confection Advertising Initiative (CCAI) released the 2023 Annual Report on Participant Compliance and Program Progress.

The report notes excellent compliance by the 22 CFBAI participants and the six CCAI participants in 2023 and discusses modifications to CFBAI’s Core Principles.
