It is with great sorrow that we report our beloved Serenity was lost on our passage to PR for the upcoming dive season. We are heartbroken but extremely grateful to all those who assisted us and their efforts to keep us safe during our early departure from our sailboat home.

We will return to the dive industry and continue our efforts to educate as many divers as possible throughout the world on the wonders and joys the oceans, seas, and lakes this Great Big Blue Planet has to offer.

For now, we wish you all fair winds, following seas, and joyous dive adventures!

Whew 😱! That was a long 5 weeks in the yard. Many thanks to for the wonderful job on the bottom, thru-hull replacement, and sail drive service. Finally slipped the lines of the dock this afternoon after cleaning the yard grime off the old girl 😎⛵️. Next stop Deltaville, VA and our home marina, Stingray Point. Rigging work to be completed at the dock within the next week. Then we head up to Annapolis to retrieve our sails at -sails. An action packed summer of maintenance for sure! Looking forward to our journey back to in late October and the winter-spring dive and sail season 🤿⛵️

Sailing and diving with a group from last week.. We sailed right by Jeff Bezos’ Mega Sailing Yacht Tender! For real this thing is a super yacht all by itself! Our friends on Culebra captured Serenity as we sailed by. ⛵️⚓️🤿

Should make landfall in Fajardo, PR mid-morning Monday after our 9 1/2 day journey. It will be nice to see old friends and make new ones this season! 🤿⛵️

We cleared the nasty Low Pressure system that stretches from New England to the Bahamas just after midnight. Conditions have improved and sailing south, finally! Just a few days from making landfall in Fajardo, PR for some cleanup, fuel and crew disembarkation. Then on to Culebra for the dive and charter season! 🤿⛵️🏝️

Being knee deep in Shark week it would be fitting to provide fact checks on these creatures. Yes many of us were traumatized in the 70’s with “Jaws” and “Jaws 2”. However, sharks are not indiscriminate man-eaters. They are a very important part of the Ocean ecology and we need to protect them from the terrible fishing practices taking place worldwide.

-Lots of food consumed
-Loads of music listened
-More SM posts and updates one could handle (thank you Elon Musk and Starlink)
-Tons of in-depth conversation (pretty certain we solved all the planets’ problems)
-Plenty of solitaire played
-Plethora of Podcasts
-More laughs than three people should be allowed to have!
