This page gathers shop links and direct donation platforms for Buncombe County businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Businesses & Restaurants in Blowing Rock are open and ready to welcome you back into town! Major routes into Blowing Rock are now fully open and are safe to travel.

- Before traveling, check ahead of your route via Drivenc.gov roads are still under repair- full or partial closures are common. Stick to main routes and confirm their status before traveling. And please, respect the needs of our neighbors who have asked that visitors continue to stay away while they make important strides toward recovery.

- Shop and dine locally as much as you can- it makes significant impacts on the families who own our small businesses. Our shops, restaurants, and some of our local attractions are ready to welcome you!

All this to say: please visit thoughtfully. Visitors are crucial to helping our small businesses recover and your support means everything to us. If you are postponing an in-person visit, consider purchasing gift cards from our local businesses as a meaningful way to show your support at this time. If you are looking for additional ways to help, we hope you will contribute to one of the many organizations working to help those hit hardest by Hurricane Helene.

The neighbor came by to ask for help because her dog, a great Pyrenees ironically named "Bear", treed a black bear and wouldn't come home. His age was catching up with him, and getting back up the mountain on his own was challenging. We provided the support he needed to make his way back up the mountain and an avenue for the bear to return to his family.

We're back with another exciting update on our new construction build, and things are really taking shape. The intricate art of timber frame notching involves carefully shaping the wood to create secure and visually appealing joints. It's truly a labor of love, and we couldn't be happier with the results so far. The ornate hammer beams on the back porch will be installed next.
