Biltmore is open, The North Carolina Arboretum Winter Lights tickets are on sale, River Arts District Artists are hosting holiday pop-up markets, and every day more local restaurants are figuring out how to reopen. We are so proud to have been able to provide lodging to 4 WNC families so far who have been displaced by the storm and we are welcoming back tourists now too. As of this morning the National Park Service has restored access to nearly 55 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway!

From: Milepost 411.8 to 421, from US 276 to Black Balsam, including:
Graveyard Fields overlook and trailheads at milepost 418.8.
All trails & trails crossings in this corridor (use extreme caution).

Milepost 423.2 to 469, from NC 215 to US 441 in Cherokee, NC, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, including:

River Row Flats is now able to offer discounted temporary housing options(weekly/monthly) to those who have lost their homes due to Hurricane Helene. Please reach out directly to Nancy Chick at 828-734-3375 for any questions. We are limited on available spaces but would love to help those that we can.

The devastation in Asheville right now is felt all throughout Western North Carolina. We are keeping our thoughts with the River Arts District as it begins to come out of the water, and with every soul without power and water.

River Row Flats will be closed for the month of October as we deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. It is our hope to re-open November 1st, 2024.

Do you have a sweet tooth? If so, stop by The Chocolate Fe**sh in downtown Asheville. Located at 36 Haywood Street, they have been making their decadent chocolates since 1986. I remember as a child, loving to go there and pick out my favorite chocolate round and peanut butter cups! They have a varied selection of flavors and as a favored spot by the local community, we also offer an assortment of their mini-rounds when you a book a room.

We love coffee. Especially fresh ground coffee from a local roaster and we want our guests to be able to enjoy it too. We provide a starter bag of freshly ground coffee from Penny Cup Coffee Co., a local roaster here in Asheville, NC. Don't worry if you run out during your stay, they are less than a 2 minute drive away! They also have a store downtown, located at the YMI Cultural Center, for when you are shopping and need that mid-afternoon caffeine boost.

Located on Depot street in the River Arts District, Penny Cup Coffee Co. offers fresh roasted coffee and some of the best sweet treats around. They even offer vegan options! My personal favorite is the Berry Bar with an Oat-milk Latte. YUM!
