As with the entire region, conditions vary by location across the 8,000-acre property. We are so proud to have been able to provide lodging to 4 WNC families so far who have been displaced by the storm and we are welcoming back tourists now too. As of this morning the National Park Service has restored access to nearly 55 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway!

From: Milepost 411.8 to 421, from US 276 to Black Balsam, including:
Graveyard Fields overlook and trailheads at milepost 418.8.
All trails & trails crossings in this corridor (use extreme caution).

Milepost 423.2 to 469, from NC 215 to US 441 in Cherokee, NC, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, including:

River Row Flats is now able to offer discounted temporary housing options(weekly/monthly) to those who have lost their homes due to Hurricane Helene. Please reach out directly to Nancy Chick at 828-734-3375 for any questions. We are limited on available spaces but would love to help those that we can.

The devastation in Asheville right now is felt all throughout Western North Carolina. We are keeping our thoughts with the River Arts District as it begins to come out of the water, and with every soul without power and water.

River Row Flats will be closed for the month of October as we deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. It is our hope to re-open November 1st, 2024.
