I had the honor of documenting a couple’s healing ceremony. For a while now, I have had the calling to do more with my work. As much as I love documenting weddings, I kept getting a pin to do more with this calling. This year, I finished getting certified as a relationship coach and have also been working on a podcast. At the end of last year, I arrived in Mexico feeling confused, helpless, and without any internal guidance. As some of you may know, Asheville got hit with a hurricane, and my life turned upside down once again; in the blink of an eye, every plan, hope, and drive was gone. I had to pick myself up once again and start “fresh.”

Two years ago, I went through a divorce, even though it was a very loving and healthy separation. It has become the most humbling experience of my life, and I am forever grateful for all the lessons it has come with it. Since then, my life started the snowball effect of opening myself up to a beautiful, messy, unique healing journey. I have died and come back as a new person full of love and compassion for myself. Just 3 months ago, I was full of regret, shame, and self-punishment, but now I can look back and see how perfect my process was. As painful as it was, it needed to be that way for me to surrender to who I needed to be.

The most beautiful act of love I have witnessed is documenting two people who chose to individually heal to be their highest versions of themselves to come into union and heal with each other. To choose to love someone as they are and make the conscious decision to stay and work towards healing has been what my soul needed to witness and affirm what I;ve been wanting to do.

Part 2 of Victoria and Andrew’s New York elopement. I loved it when Victoria shared the idea of exchanging vows with Andrew somewhere in the city. It was so perfect for them. Victoria wanted it to be a surprise, so we took photos around the High Line until we found the ideal spot. It was perfect.

I’ve known my sweet Victoria and Andrew for 10 years. I always looked up at their relationship and love how they are High School sweethearts.

They have seen each other grow, they have gone through ups and downs and have always been authentic to who they are individually and as a couple.

They way they have loved each other through all this years have been inspiring.

As I write this, I am utterly heartbroken by everything happening in our city and surrounding cities. It has been such a shock to hear all the stories of people losing family members, friends, homes, and businesses. But it has also been so uplifting to see how everyone has come together to help one another.

I had planned to make a heartfelt post about my move and my business rebranding. I made Asheville my permanent home for 15 years and have seen it grow. I have been so blessed to meet many wonderful people who will forever be family. I am so grateful for the memories, lessons, and growth that Asheville gave me while I lived here, and I will forever carry them in my heart.

But things have changed quickly. Back in August, I decided to move out of Asheville. It would have been a slow move, aiming for March to be my last year in Asheville. But now, December is going to be my last month here. That being said. I will donate all my furniture. I don’t have much, but I will list it here.

Please let me know if you know of anyone who needs any of these items. If not, by the end of October, it will all go to an organization in the area.

This year I have been lucky enough to travel to several countries but Italy stole my heart. Getting to visit Italy twice has been the highlight of this year.

I remember back in High School I took my first photography class. Before then, my best friend and I used to take photos of everything around us with our old flip phones, and we would have so much fun and create great memories. I was surprised by how many rules, right and wrong ways there were regarding photography.

To me; It was so simple: take a photo of whatever you like with whatever tool you have.

But that is what I love about film cameras; it is always a surprise when the role gets developed, and all the “imperfections” make the photo so unique and beautiful.

Hello :)

It has been a wild ten years since I started this beautiful and special video production business.

I could not have done it without the help of people who loved and supported me every step of the way. In no way did I ever believe I would ever be a business owner.

It has not been easy but it has been very rewarding. I have met so many wonderful people because of it, traveled and seen so many cool places, and I have gotten to know myself better because of it.

When I started, I tried to quit many times, shed so many tears, and did not believe I could do this. But as I mentioned, I had people believing in me all along so this little business was built out of so much love, patience, and hope.

This past year has come with some big changes, so it is time for this business to get a makeover.
