And cleanliness is clearly a priority... it was immaculate. The cottage was private and quiet… and yet stores, restaurants, etc. are easily accessible. This was a family trip with our daughter and granddaughter and we can’t wait to come again!”

🔦 Staff Spotlight - An Ode to Pam 🙏

This month we are celebrating Pam, our manager at the cottages and one of our longest-standing employees, who has been with us for the last 15 years. Pam started out cleaning three of our cottages to supplement her income as a preschool teacher. When the preschool closed in 2020, Pam moved to full-time and quickly climbed the ladder from cleaner to manager. Pam is a true gem who brings warmth, professionalism, and dedication to everything she does.

As a manager, she is responsible for training and overseeing our cleaning staff, scheduling, maintenance and property inspections, planning our meetings (which, with her planning, are more like parties!), assisting our guests with anything and everything, and so much more. Even more importantly, she keeps our staff morale high by creating a "family" work atmosphere for our employees--connecting personally with them, planning social gatherings and other fun events.

Her genuine care for guests and staff alike creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel right at home. Pam’s commitment to excellence truly sets Asheville Cottages apart as a top-notch destination and we are beyond grateful to have her on our team!

After an unusually chilly winter, the signs of spring are finally beginning to breathe new life into our beloved mountains. Though the weather can be unpredictable this time of year, it's always heartening to see the faces of daffodils, crocuses, and violets signaling the return of sunnier and longer days. 💐

Speaking of renewal, major strides are being made in Asheville's recovery after the devastating blow of Hurricane Helene last fall. Cleanup crews and local teams have been working tirelessly to repair infrastructure, reopen parks, and maintain the vibrant beauty that makes Asheville so special. Thanks to these efforts, Asheville earned a spotlight on Forbes' and the New York Times' lists of top travel destinations in 2025!
