These are my Twig Necklaces. I picked a piece of twig off a vine behind my former studio in the River Arts District and cast it. I wonder if the plant could have possibly survived the flood....

My little happy space! This will be heaped with laundry and sprinkled with snack crumbs in a matter of days I'm sure, but for now it is all mine. I am finally getting the time to do a few things for me post flood. It feels good and healing ❤️

Hey ya'll..... I'm back in action! Bring on the orders..... I can handle anything and everything. And if anyone knows of any retail shops that want to purchase wholesale send them my way.

While I was just gearing up to really start producing Bluebird Designs on a higher scale again, I didn't realize how critical it would be to do so rather quickly. 5 years ago I switched gears to focus more on building my other business where I was teaching, hosting residents, and selling many artists work from the gallery there. I didn't have the means and capacity to keep up with starting a family and wholesale etc.

But Ignite Jewelry Studios ceased overnight in the flood and it was my primary source of income.

So I have finally set up a new studio.... (decor still to come lol) and need to make up the difference in income here now.

I should have a make shift studio set up by end of next week for Bluebird Designs jewelry to be made. I think almost everything listed on the website can be fabricated once that is up and running! PLEASE consider my happy and colorful silver and enamel jewelry for Christmas gifts this year. You can order now and as soon as I am able I will begin shipping.

I also am able to do some wholesale.... so if you are a retail business and would like to make a wholesale order I would very much appreciate that as well. I was just gearing up to greatly expand Bluebird Designs again (as I had decreased my workload capacity a few years ago to manage family and Ignite Jewelry Studios). Any new wholesale accounts would be welcome now!

And please share this. Any support to anyone in WNC would be greatly appreciated as well. We are all hurting and trying to rebuild.

Wow I am humbled by the support and love from so many people. Please keep the words of encouragement coming if you have the chance. They really do mean a lot and help me stay positive.

I am finally able to begin all the many tiny tasks that will eventually lead to the re-opening of Ignite Jewelry Studios one day in the future. This keeps me going as I have always believed that Ignite's communal space serves an important and beautiful purpose to sharing and promoting metalsmithing to the masses. I think back on the thousands of people who have taken workshops and classes there and it makes me smile knowing they felt so accomplished and delighted in their self made jewelry.

I am 25% of the way to my $15,000 goal. So much thanks to everyone who has donated. Please continue to share the link if you can. These funds will allow Ignite Jewelry Studios to stabilize so that one day it will be back to continue teaching, hosting artists and residents, and offering workshops to anyhow who wants to experience the world of metalsmithing.

Even though Bluebird Designs lost its space in the I've still got jewelry!

I made a mad dash for the studio as soon as the water receded and retrieved both my jewelry and all the gallery artists' jewelry. That's a great way to support all the impacted artists by purchasing their work that was not damaged or lost in the flood.

I'm devastated for all the loss everywhere across WNC and also sad for my once vibrant communal metalsmithing studio in Asheville's River Arts District.

Seeing more and more of the destruction all over WNC and beyond is just so hard and heartbreaking. But I anticipate a resurrection of sorts. Hard to really get there now, but there's even more than a glimmer of hope.

The reason I moved to Asheville 11 years ago was for a certain magic I felt ....community, art, happiness, beauty, and so much more.

I saw all that in the last few days even despite the hardships and destruction.

I am ok as is my family. Hoping to set up a home studio for Bluebird Designs in my basement, once I've cleaned up from the flooding. I do have a lot of jewelry made that I was able to recover from my uninhabitable studio in the River Arts District. I will adjust my website to reflect this. This will be an amazing way to support me once I do so. Think ahead to gifts Christmas etc. Thank you all for all your kind words.
