When the light hits just right…

I’ve been a bit quiet over here on Instagram but not for lack of incredible content to share. Life has been busy and I feel so blessed to have had a very busy season filled with amazing couples who trusted me to help craft and document their elopement adventures here in Alaska.

I can’t wait to catch you all up with more images from each day I got to be a part of. For now I’ll leave you with just one frame from this moody elopement I recently photographed.

What a wonderful day this was! These two had such a vibe going from beginning to end & the rainy, cold Alaskan weather did not even slightly dampen their energy.

From a relaxing morning getting ready at their beautiful Airbnb at to staying up late getting matching tattoos with the coordinates of where they stood when they committed to spend their lives together; every minute was such an honor to document.

I had so much fun planning this day for & with them. A huge thank you to my amazing team of vendors!

Epic. Wild. Adventure. Fun.

All some key words that come to mind when reflecting on the paddling adventure Jaimie & Sam asked if I’d join them on, post wedding day. It’s hard to take a bad photo in a place like Bear Glacier but it was also shockingly challenging since there was minimal control over horizon lines (we were both in boats) & I had to work pretty fast since it was part of a public tours so we had to keep moving rather than having a bunch of time to play with angles and backgrounds!

10 of 10 would do this again. Also a huge thanks to our guide who patiently paddled the boat with me in it while I photographed J & S!

This whole weekend was a vibe. A beautiful vibe. One filled with intention. For their wedding Jaimie & Sam chose to bring a small group of their favorite people to Seward, Alaska.
The weekend was spent relaxing with friends & family.
Their wedding day kicked off with a boat charter for all the guests; whales were spotted playing and feeding on salmon, sea lions basked on rocks and Ressurection Bay showed off all its beauty.
First look & cocktails at was the perfect pre-ceremony getaway for Jaimie & Sam.
Their ceremony by the water was heartfelt, written by one of their dear friends. Dinner was held under the trees in front of the cabins & impromptu speeches were given as everyone enjoyed dessert.

Everything about this day felt very true to Jaimie & Sam, right down to their choice to serve Dirt as dessert. An ode to a favorite childhood dessert.

I had so much fun helping these two plan their day & bring everything to life with the help of day of!

Breakfast in a cabin by the sea. Two eager pups. Mimosas and coffee. Laughter, getting dressed together & short scenic drive to meet our boat captain at the harbor.

Seward treated us to one of its rare warm sunny days. A welcome change to the snow & rain we’re often subjected to in April.

My favorite thing about elopements is that we can craft a day that encompasses all the things you love. There are no musts, no rules about how you must elope - let’s get you married your way!

Imagine saying your vows in front of a massive ice wall. A small group of your favorite people present. After the ceremony your guests are treated to a guided hike past stunning glacier formations; their guide teaching them about the ancient ice they’re walking on. Meanwhile you’re whisked away in a sleigh pulled by snow machine & taken to a few of the magical ice formations for exploration and photos.

K & S’s winter wedding on the was such fun to document & I can’t wait share photos of the dinner part of their day!

If I had to pick a favorite location to take couples on their elopement day it would hands down be Seward, Alaska!
The variety of landscapes at our finger tips to explore by helicopter is outrageous. These 3 locations are not more than a 5 minute flight from each other and provide such different terrain to explore.

I can’t think of a better way to ring in the New Year then documenting this beautiful couple getting married out on a glacier!

The day started pre sun up with .borealisbeauties and I at S & S’s cute cabin. took us on an amazing adventure where these two said their vows on a frozen, iceberg filled lake.
The day ended over a beer at where we made new friends.

2023 was an epic year and I can’t think of a more awesome way for it to come to a close.

It is truly impossible to explain the scale of the Alaskan wilderness. They say a picture speaks a thousand words but in Alaska I find even the best photos don’t do it’s landscapes justice. Seeing it for yourselves is the only truly way to enjoy its vastness & beauty.

So many couples in their initial inquiry mention that they want to get married somewhere that makes them feel like they’re a tiny blip & perhaps even feel like they’re the only two people to ever set foot in the place they say I Do.

What’s the best way to experience this on your elopement day?

A few more favorites from Lauren and Joey’s Seward elopement.

Even in the rain and fog Seward is a beauty.

As fall turns to winter here in Alaska I’m so enjoying reflecting on all my incredible summer elopements!

It was an amazing first full year here in this beautiful state and I’m so excited for many more.

Sewards beauty never fails to leave me speechless. Even when the weather is less than ideal, it’s beautiful.

Lauren & Joey said their vows in a beautiful alpine meadow with a stream trickling past and a family of 4 bears, myself and Pilot Mike as their only witnesses.

From mountains to sea we were dropped on a beautiful beach where L & J willingly jumped into a tiny boat that transported them to the beautiful .isle.seward where champagne and a picnic was waiting aboard.

We cruised the shoreline taking in the beauty of Ressurection Bay before returning “home” to

The evening wound down with a first dance under string lights while cooked up a delicious meal in their cabin.

To sum this elopement up in such a small series of photos is impossible, so many moments not shared yet like the family of bears, Lauren falling into the zodiac when hopping aboard, lots of laughter while walking through their ceremony meadow, snuggles on the beach & so much more to come!

One of the things I love so much about Alaska is the variety of scenery you can experience.

It really is the perfect place to get married & honeymoon!

For Ashley & Mike they had just over a week to spend exploring so they booked my 8 night package and got to explore a few different parts of the state. We did:

3 nights in Palmer for an intimate celebration with family
2 nights Talkeetna
3 nights in Seward

What better way to kick off your honeymoon than to explore Seward by air & boat!

We went from high alpine lakes in the sun with glaciers in the distance down into a moody, cloud lined cove.

Ashley and Mike traveled up to Alaska this summer to get married & chose to include an intimate group of family. Their day was filled with excitement, laughter & joy.

Rain. Smiles. Tears of joy. Connection. Beauty. More Rain. Wind. Laughter. Ice. Love.

All these words come to mind when reflecting on this beautiful couples elopement day here in Alaska.

Alaska threw it’s normal weather tantrums at us in the days leading up to G & O’s elopement.
With predictions of high gusty winds and lots of rain in Seward where I had their whole elopement day planned; helicopter, boat and seaside exploration (all things that are not possible with the current weather predictions) - we decided to pivot.

Enter plan B. Which looked like a completely different location, flying with a different Heli company (you’re the best ), instead of a picnic on the boat came to the rescue and hosted a last minute picnic at her beautiful place on the Knik River.

Gina, Oscar and their kids embraced this whole new plan I crafted for them!

Alaska teaches you to be flexible, roll with plan a, b and c’s and more importantly - this beautiful state knocks your socks off even in the worst of weather.

Thank you Gina and Oscar for trusting me to plan & document this adventure for your beautiful family! It was such an honor being a part of your day.

The skylights in the yurts at make for some magical light.

Also, every couple should have a more casual post elopement session! We snuggled on the bed (well, they snuggled and I stood above and photographed the cuteness), explored the paths & found ourselves at this magical cove by the ocean.

Counting the days till I go back to this awesome place! Want to elope there next year? I have the perfect elopement package for you. Let’s gooooooo!

A snowball fight on a glacier after saying vows in a purple lupine meadow. Newly married standing hand in hand - listening to icebergs crack & roll in a otherwise silent, perfectly blue lagoon.
Getting ready amongst the trees in a yurt by the sea with cliffs rising up from the ocean straight into the clouds.

Having your first dance on a boat under the bright almost midnight sky, gourmet food, watching sea lions sunbathing on rocks, reading notes from family snuggled under a blanket as you cruise back towards land.

These two had the most incredible day with so much laughter & love.

Hatcher Pass gives off some serious sound of music vibes!

These two said their vows a few weeks ago in this beautiful valley. The clouds covered and uncovered the sun leaving beautiful patchy light on the mountains behind.
We climbed hills, strolled through meadows & had an all around good time!
