My passion is to apply crystals to the musical experience. Crystal bridges enhance the tonal quality of a musical instrument. The musical vibrations activate the crystals, promoting a deeper level of musical communication; while also enhancing acoustical properties. I offer crystal augmentations for hammered dulcimers, guitars, mandolins, banjos, Native American style flutes and more. Derek builds

personalized, custom design hammered dulcimers as well as small beginner models. He also builds Native American style flutes. Each instruments and augmentation includes a matching crystal (or hardwood) talisman to complement and connect you with the subtle vibrations of your instrument. Derek exhibits very innovative style in his work. He is inspired to create personal, custom instruments, keeping an open conversation in order to incorporate each individual customer's ideas for their instrument. Derek offers fully and linear chromatic hammered dulcimers, as well as the standard hammered dulcimer tuning. He specializes in using gemstones and wood as bridge caps, instead of commonly used plastic. Derek is confident that these earth-based materials enhance the tonal quality of instruments, as well as intensify the healing essence of music. Crystals, having a harder density than plastic/wood, allow more frequencies to be projected through the sound box of the instrument, giving each note a fuller depth. The crystals help the instrument sustain notes much longer, and on fretted instruments, the ability to play harmonics is increased. Derek builds hammered dulcimers of various proportions, from beginner models to custom built wide-range models. Derek Graziano, of Sources of Sound & Celestially Rooted, is back with the crystalline sound activation sessions and his monochord sound chair. . Utilizing sound and vibration to provide assistance for transformation, and aid one another in re-connecting with the natural resonance of the Universe. Sessions can include a variety of musical instruments, many of which were built by Derek Graziano, himself. Most of the instruments incorporate crystals. The monochord chair is designed with quartz as part of the strings' acoustics and a crystal grid around the sound hole which becomes activated with the playing of the instrument. The crystal kingdom exhibits what is called piezo-electric properties, which is the creation of electro-magnetic currents through the pressurization of the crystals. Playing the strings activates the crystals piezo-electric nature, while the grid formation molds those currents to create electro-magnetic vortices that bathe the sitter into a transformational space. Now booking Crystalline Sound Activation sessions!
The monochord chair is designed with quartz as part of the strings' acoustics and a crystal grid around the sound hole which becomes activated with the playing of the instrument. The crystal kingdom exhibits what is called piezo-electric properties, which is the creation of electro-magnetic currents through the pressurization of the crystals. Each session is intuited as the moment occurs.
Offering hour long sessions: 15 minute preparation period, including intention setting, space clearing/smudging; 30 minutes on Derek's hand-built, crystal-gridded monochord chair; and 15 additional minutes for re-acclimating to the environment.

This crystal-gridded monochord will be unveiled tomorrow, 12/18 at a crystal/sound activation workshop/demonstration, facilitated by Derek Graziano, luthier and lapidarist. This workshop is graciously hosted by the Metaphysical Department of Enter the Earth. There are a few spots left. Derek will be explaining application of crystals to musical instruments, and facilitate a sound meditation using some of these instruments.
